SoulNet – The Conference
Back in February braving the snow and the blizzards i headed north to a conference for Youth Workers who are part of the SoulNet Network. This was a worthwhile journey.
Over the weekend we were looking at The Church and how important the youth are to the church and how they can become more involved. It also was a weekend to spend time with God and to refresh and meet others in the same job.
I spent most of saturday away from the main event just in the snow, praying and chilling out with God. In the afternoon I was just reading and praying and God gave me a real clear picture i think he wants me to share.
It was of a massive wave, it was heading down towards Wimborne, this wave was Gods will, there were people on the wave surfing; going with Gods will. There were also others fighting against the wave; fighting against Gods will. Some of them where pulling those doing God’s will down into the wave but they would get up again and carry on surfing. Over time those fighting disappeared, either they joined the surfers or they went away completely.
God also spoke about his love for me and the young people, the fact that God loves me for who I am and not what i do.
Over all the weekend was a really encouraging and life changing time.
